LADIES WEEKEND OUT // SHELF ROAD, COLORADO

Calling all Lady and Female-Identifying climbers! The guides at Ladies Weekend Out are teaming up with our friends at KMAC Guides and heading to Shelf Road for a great weekend of rock climbing. Shelf Road, Colorado, is a premier sport climbing destination known for its limestone cliffs, pocketed faces, and technical routes. Located near Cañon City, this area offers a variety of well-bolted sport climbs, making it an excellent spot for climbers of all levels. Shelf Road is a great place to build confidence on limestone, refine technical climbing skills, and enjoy a classic Colorado sport climbing experience!
Start the weekend Friday evening around the campfire at Bank Campground with intros and aspirations. Saturday and Sunday we will climb our hearts out and solidify our loving belaytionships. Learn some new skills like sport leading, anchor building, cleaning/ rappelling or just enjoy being the Tope Rope Princess you deserve to be. At the end of our climbing day we will head back to camp to relax, swap stories and recoup.
Join a thriving community of Lady Climbers here in Colorado and experience one of the best sport climbing areas in the state. If you are new to outdoor climbing or an experienced sport climber you’ll learn something and gain lots of confidence!
Our Ladies Weekend Out events are quickly becoming the go-to climbing experience for women looking to connect, learn, and grow in the outdoors! 2 guided days of outdoor rock climbing with our all female, AMGA guide team
Instructional clinics both days, geared towards becoming more self sufficient as a climber
Any personal climbing equipment for the weekend including a harness, helmet and climbing shoes

FRIDAY, APRIL 18TH
Friday night we will meet the crew around the campfire for introductions and story telling, connecting for the weekend ahead.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY, APRIL 19TH & 20TH
Both climbing days will provide a variety of styles and difficulties of route put up by our guide team. Each participant will have an opportunity to learn new skills while solidifying foundational techniques to set them up for a successful weekend.

All guests will be responsible for their own meals for the duration of the event. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks during both days of climbing.
All participants will need to provide their own means of transportation to and from campground and climbing areas.
