Ladies Weekend Out recognizes Mammoth Lakes as part of the native land of Payahuunadü, and is traditional homelands of the Paiute (Nüümü), Shoshone and Washoe peoples. The Mammoth Lakes area is a meeting point for these tribes due to its rich natural resources and geographic location within the Sierra Nevada. The region holds significant cultural, spiritual, and historical importance for these Indigenous peoples.
