Building a strong foundation is a key component when developing your skills as a climber and setting yourself up for success in any Belaytionship. Prepare for the unexpected with our Intro to Rock-Rescue clinic. Learn vital rock rescue skills, including lowering a partner, escaping a belay, ascending a rope and other techniques to manage climbing emergencies effectively. This hands-on clinic provides the tools and knowledge to navigate tricky situations safely, giving you greater independence and peace of mind on the rock.
Our new skills clinics series being offered are designed to equip you with the tools needed for any adventure ahead. Each weekend will run on Saturday and Sunday, with a 4:1 climber-to-guide ratio to ensure personalized attention. While accommodations aren't included, we have a range of excellent recommendations for camping or glamping around Bishop to suit your preferences.
These courses are progression courses, where they build off each other with the goal to create a solid foundational skill set for any rock climbing adventure ahead.
Each clinic is led by AMGA-trained guides and designed to support climbers of all levels. Join us for a weekend of skill-building, personalized instruction, and connection with a community of like-minded women.

Both Saturday and Sunday will run from 8 AM to 4 PM, focusing on developing a variety of rock-rescue skills.
Each Intro to Rock-Rescue Weekend is tailored to accommodate the different experience levels of participants, with skills covered including (but not limited to):
Knots and hitches
Anchor assessment
Escaping a belay
Performing a rescue from a lead fall
Rope and gear management
Lowering techniques
Escaping a belay
Rope ascension
This dynamic, hands-on weekend will equip you with the confidence and skills to handle challenging situations on the wall.

All guests will be responsible for their own meals for the duration of the event. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. All guests will also be responsible for their own accommodations for the weekend and transportation to and from the climbing venues.
