Bears Ears National Monument Backpacking Trip — Ladies Weekend Out

LADIES WEEKEND OUT // BEARS EARS NATIONAL MONUMENT BACKPACKING

INFO & REGISTRATION

Out here in the wild west, where towering red canyon walls meet endless skies, an unforgettable adventure awaits. Join our crew of experienced women guides and a group of like-minded nature lovers for an immersive backpacking journey through the breathtaking Bears Ears National Monument.

Ladies Weekend Out will be partnering with KMAC Guides to bring you to Bears Ears National Monument, where over the course of four days and three nights, we’ll explore the stunning landscapes of Fish and Owl Canyon, trekking through its winding corridors and soaking in the beauty of a desert in bloom. Spring brings this canyon to life—water flows gently through its depths, wildflowers dot the sandy trails, and ancient cliff dwellings whisper stories of the past. Along the way, we’ll marvel at the grandeur of Nevills Arch, a striking natural formation that marks the halfway point of our journey.

This trip is designed for both beginner and experienced backpackers looking to refine their desert travel skills. Whether you're new to backpacking or looking to expand your knowledge, our guides will share expert tips, essential techniques, and practical wisdom to help you feel more confident and capable in the backcountry.

Join us for an adventure that promises personal growth, new friendships, and a deeper connection to the land. Let’s explore, learn, and experience the magic of Bears Ears together!

We acknowledge that Bears Ears National Monument is the ancestral homeland of the Diné (Navajo), Ute, Pueblo, Hopi, and many other Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land for thousands of years. As we explore its canyons and cultural sites, we do so with deep respect for their history, traditions, and ongoing connection to this sacred landscape. May we move through this space with gratitude, care, and a commitment to protecting its beauty for future generations.
